Here is yesterday’s haul of 100% organic home-grown raspberries. That is 7 lb 11 oz of pure deliciousness.

America’s Historic Triangle Survives Our Visit

We visited Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. It was very nice and although everybody didn’t enjoy everything we did, everyone enjoyed something.
Some people enjoyed the Great Wolf Lodge, others not so much. Can you guess which ones are in which group?
The Williamsburg Green
Not too crowded on the day we were there, although the weather was just about perfect. I think there is a ghost wandering around on the green though.
Funny hats were worn by several in our party.
Buford and Billy O.
Buford learned about Billy O. a.k.a. William III of Orange in History class.
Solitary confinement
We brought everyone home with us, but just so you know, we didn’t have to.
Powhatans
We found out that we would not have made very good Powhatan Indians – too soft around the middle.
Cool tools and lots of wood shavings.
That was worth seeing.
Afterward we had a nice visit to the Carlisle Avenue Gospel Chapel in Richmond, Virginia and a nice lunch afterwards.

This is the “Stellar Pink” hybrid. It blooms a few days after the C. Florida. The blooms last longer than C. Florida and it has good disease resistant properties. I like the rich smooth green of the leaves.
This particular instance of “Stellar Pink” is special because it was planted in memory of my grandmother.

Well Buford has always wanted his picture on this website. So there you go — Happy Burthday Buford! I guess having an entire case of monsters on your lap could make anyone act pretty silly.
I was recently reminded by my dear wife (who has known me since I was 7 years old, so I can’t get away with one single thing) that I drank more than my share of caffeine when I was a youth. Quite true. They didn’t have monsters back then, but if they did, I probably would have desired them.
