Well it finally happened. We visited Durham NC and met brother Dwight in person, f2f as they say in text-messaging lingo. We met at the Ole NC BBQ buffet off Duke St, in Durham and had a grand ole southern time. After working together all these years it was a real treat to finally meet the brains, visionary, and digitizing powerhouse behind Voices For Christ.

When I think about how many messages are going out, now up to around 20,000 per month pretty consistently, it is really a tremendous thing. I count Dwight among the giants of the faith in this generation. Why is that you say? Who has ever even heard of VFC? Well it might be small, but if you count all hours of preaching multiplied by the number of hearers for a given message, I don’t know of anyone else in our circles who has had a greater impact in getting the Word of God into people’s minds as Dwight has had. It was his vision from the start to be able to help people in distant places — and we have send CDs and DVDs packed with MP3 messages to dozens of countries. We have had MP3 downloads from over 50 countries by thousands of people. The fact that he does this from the solitude of his living and dining rooms surrounded by computers and bushel baskets of cassette tapes, well it shows the brilliance of God and his marvelous way of giving gifts to the whole body of Christ. Perhaps some folks don’t listen to all of the messagaes they download, but I know plenty of people duplicate them or pass them along — so perhaps the half has not even been told. The Word of the Lord does not return void.

So may we just add a hearty “Well done, brother Dwight!” and it was good to finally meet you in person. Looking forward to years of continued service to the King in cooperation with you.
